This directory contains text files listing the orthologs of S. pombe genes in other species, 
manually curated by PomBase, specifically:

 - S. pombe gene orthologs in S. cerevisiae
 - S. pombe gene orthologs in human
 - S. pombe gene orthologs in S. japonicus

Each file is composed of five columns:

  - S. pombe systematic identifier (eg. SPAC1002.08c)
  - S. cerevisiae/human gene symbol/S. japonicus systematic identifier 
    (eg. CDC28,TFB1M|TFB2M or SJAG_03289)
  - A qualifier used to describe gene fusion events where a single gene in one species maps to 2 separate genes in the other species
  - A reference (not mandatory)
  - Date added (not mandatory)

When multiple orthologs exist for a single S. pombe gene, their identifiers are 
separated by vertical line symbols: "|"
